The Asylum is one of London's top wedding spaces and the perfect spot for chilled wedding photography. These two were keen from the get go they were all about the relaxed wedding vibes. Music to my ears! Lauren and Paddy did what has become one of my ultimate fav ways to do weddings, and is totally what my partner and I are gonna do - stretched out the events over two days! I met them on the Friday afternoon at Southwark Registry Office along with their parents and sibs (and some ridiculously cute babies) for their legal bits, some snaps in the gardens and one very special request...a pregnancy announcement photo! Lauren donned her 'baby on board' badge for the even important insta post after their big celebration the next day.
And then came the big day! The Saturday arrived and Lauren and pals got ready at their Peckham home, just a short walk away from the Asylum Chapel, whilst Paddy utilised the glorious rooms of East Dulwich Tavern which is where they were having their reception later on in the day. A friend led their beautiful ceremony, guests then enjoyed drinks and Crosstown Bagels before heading on a Routemaster bus to Dulwich, where speeches, buffet food and dancing led them into the evening. Simplicity at it's finest, and in my opinion the BEST way to do London weddings!
I rave about pub weddings all the time. And it's because I truly believe they are the ultimate relaxed wedding spaces! If chilled wedding photography is your jam then a pub wedding might be the way to go. Check out some winter magic at another one of my favs - The Lordship, Dulwich to keep be inspired...
