Colourful Wedding Photography in North London

A big part of my style is colourful wedding photography, and Sam & Bex’s wedding had it abundance. This beaut couple opted for a bespoke package and tied the knot in some of their favourite locations in North London, and I may have taken one of my most favourite shots ever…

The Timeline

Sam & Bex met in North London so it’s befitting that they got married there. They didn’t want any photos of them getting ready so I met them at Islington Town Hall where they had a magical ceremony with a killer playlist (Radiohead at a wedding ceremony? HELL YEAH!)

Cinemas & Barbie

After some quick group photos on the steps with the best people (check out this blog on alternative wedding party ideas) we all headed to Skinny Kitchen for the reception. When I realised we were walking past Screen on the Green I got excited… When we got there we saw the Barbie / Oppenheimer signs - all 3 of us looked at each other and knew. What doesn’t scream colourful wedding photography more than Barbie!?

Maximum Fun Candids

Skinny Kitchen served up some Thai food before a night of dancing & good vibes. Sam & Bex wanted minimal ‘posed’ pics and maximum fun candid action captured and this is music to my ears. Sometimes all we need is a little walk from venue to venue and these opportunities present themselves.

I’m totally obsessed with everything on this wedding day:

  • The seriously on trend short dress

  • The bold colour blocked bride-gang

  • The gorgeous sunflower bouquets

But MOSTLY the energy absolutely every guest brought to the table. If you want fun candid photos, you need to have fun people around and this lot were a dream.
