Colourful, Relaxed Barn Wedding at Abbey Hall, Eye

We talk a lot about dream gigs as wedding photographers. I often wonder what people think our dream gigs are. For me - it's this wedding. I left Josh and Em's day feeling like I was a part of their family. A day filled with colour, love, music, drinks, excellent food, and one of those days that you don't need a giant budget for! Having had an extra two ears to plan their wedding (thanks 2020) they got a masterclass in understanding where to spend, where to save, where to DIY and where to call in favours from your loved ones.
Getting ready in air bnbs that just so happened to be right next to each other, Em and her squad travelled to the ceremony in her Step-Dad's beautiful classic car collection. They decorated Eye Town Hall with bunting and balloons that they alter released into the air! Incredibly emotional readings followed by performances and speeches from friends and family. A surprise Brass Band saw guests braving the rain (wettest June in history?!) and were led by trumpets the short walk to Abbey Hall, where the sun came out and the dancing kicked off!
If you haven't already watched their video now is the time. You aren't ready for these speeches! Josh's four best men (who also happen to be his brothers) wrote and performed an original song after Josh himself sang his speech to Em! Safe to say there wasn't a dry eye in the house. I could waffle on about this day forever, but really, you just gotta see it for yourself...
