Best Engagement Photo Locations in Brighton
Brighton is full of quirky, colourful and unique spots to have your engagement photos. In face there are so many that narrowing it down to one location can be tricky. Here's a list of my top-rated spots for your pre-wedding pictures in Brighton...
Brighton Palace Pier
Perhaps the most iconic landmark in Brighton is the Palace Pier. Open throughout the year from 10am-10pm, it's a great place for fun backdrops whatever the weather. Visit the arcade, grab an ice-cream (look out for greedy gulls!) or simply utilise the carousels and helter-skelter's in their colourful glory.
Brighton West Pier
The ruins of Brighton West Pier have been derelict since it burnt down in 1975. Today it stands as another iconic location for your engagement photos. At low tide the sandy beach is exposed, making it super fun to run around on. It's a spot that is totally worth heading to at golden hour. It's also my favourite place to take my paddle board, and whilst I haven't had any couples brave enough to take me up on the offer yet - I'd love to shoot out on the water around here! The Pavilion Gardens
The Royal Pavilion Gardens are free to visit and open all year round, making them a beautiful and unique spot for your engagement photos. I especially love visiting this area in the summer when the blossom is out in all it's glory. It can be a popular spot, particularly on a Saturday, but get there early morning and you'll have the place to yourself.
Brighton Beach
Is it even a visit to Brighton if you don't get a fish and chips on the beach?! If you are after a quiet beachey sesh I suggest braving it at a sunrise to beat the crowds. Hove beach is far quieter all year round or you could even head out to Saltdean where you'll find beautiful pastel coloured beach huts. Brighton beach gets exceptionally busy on weekends in the summer, so heading down early for a sunrise or waiting until the winter months to catch the sunset over the sea will make for unforgettable engagement photos.
Street Art in the North Lanes
My top location spot for engagement photos has to be Brighton Lanes. Split into North and the South, it's the North Lanes that holds heaps of street art, outrageously cute and colourful houses as well as tonnes of quirky shopfronts. Head here for your engagement photos and then hop over the South Lanes (aka the Jewellery Quarter) to browse for engagement rings and wedding bands!
Devils Dyke & The South Downs Way
If you are willing to take a little drive, heading up to Devils Dyke at sunset will be so worth it for your engagement photos. With views expanding far beyond Brighton, it's a breathtaking place to take a moment in nature and truly feel as though you are on top of the world.
